An excellent turnout and results from DMVAC- 5 men in the top 10 and all four of the first four female placings. We have on this occasion beaten our rivals Wimbledon by 286 points. That leaves us 275 points behind them in the annual table- a challenge that with efforts of this calibre we should now with determination be able to rise to this year!
A popular, hard MABAC race with sociable refreshments afterwards. Excellent results for DMVAC-9 places in the top 25 including Hannah streets ahead of the second lady and of most men. Wimbledon windmilers though had everyone out for their own race and won the day as well as leaving us further behind in second position in the annual league
A fine Sunday morning for running- almost too hot on the sandy heath in the strong sunshine unless you were in a singlet.
Well done our ladies in particular who provided the first three females in the race and to the juniors who continue to advance their lead. We were again top on points at Farley Heath but remain in second position overall. Not doubting the efforts of all who turned out, perhaps some of our top ten finishers were away at half term and we look forward to seeing some of you again as soon as possible!
What an enjoyable Spring run in the forest for all who ran. And well done we were narrowly top on points at Winterfold.
The Seniors having come top in the league last year, we had come third at Windsor in January and second at Richmond but are now still in third place among the clubs. We need to overhaul Runnymede and begin to reel in Wimbledon. We need in particular 2 or 3 additional faster runners within the top 30 to pick up the higher points and also sheer numbers for those scoring 5 or 2! So “bring a friend” – if you run with someone you can enjoin to come along with you to MABAC next time please do so. Our Juniors though are well in the lead in their league! Good turnout and results at Winterfold.
Well done to all who ran, particularly if you competed both days for the club this last weekend.
Having come top in the league last year, we came third at Windsor in January and rather better second at Richmond to be now still in third place among the clubs after only two league races. Plenty of time with effort to begin to redress the balance and begin to overhaul Wimbledon and Runnymede.
